Last week, I was able to visit the job site of the house under construction in the photos below. This was one of the last projects I was working on before I was laid off from my previous employer. The house has been under construction for a year or so already; this is a steep site on the bluffs above the Pacific Ocean in Emerald Bay, and there was a lot of site, foundation and steel work to be done before framing, all in order to create large cantilevered patios that take advantage of the nice view (below).
The house does not look like much yet, as they are in the midst of framing, but some of us love to look at steel:
