A continuing series of images created from photos of Wappingers Creek, taken over time:
April 20, 2012.
The finished pictures in these series are best seen on a large screen, as the images are large and often finely detailed. (See the post for Series 18 for an illustration). On smaller screens and lower display resolutions, it is necessary to enlarge and zoom in to sufficiently reveal of the differences from one to the next. Wandering around the image, in and out, and seeing the relationship between the details and the whole is one of the principles at the heart of this exercise (More about that later), so you will be rewarded to take the time to poke around.
Spring is progressing rapidly from day to day, as can be seen in the images, and more frequent photos are necessary to keep up with the rate of change. After this post, I still have three sets of photos yet to deal with, so I will be updating frequently for some time.
